The purpose of reasonable ball loading is to maintain a proper proportion of the big ball, the middle ball and the small ball in the ball load. In a ball mill with a certain speed and ball filling rate, the grinding action mainly depends on the position of the forged steel grinding ball in the mill and the type, size and proportion of the ball. In the running ball mill, the grinding balls are distributed according to a certain regularity, that is, along the axial direction, the ball diameter is gradually reduced from the feeding end to the discharging end.
Therefore, in the ball mill in operation, the coarse ore particles will be pulverized preferentially, that is, the large ball mainly pulverizes the coarse ore particles by impact and crushing; and the small ball mainly grinds the fine ore by grinding and striking times. A large ball is formed to make a large particle, and the small ball is ground in a small particle state.
It can be seen that when the ball mill is first loaded, the size of the forged steel ball of the big ball and the small ball is determined, and the ratio of the grinding balls of each level is very important.
